Description

For this episode, I had the honour of sitting down with my good friend George Halifax (he/him) (@transitionalholistics) to chat all things transgender & queer health and how we can be better ally’s to the LGBTQIA+ community.

George is a proud trans man (and Naturopath) himself and a strong voice for the rest of his community, playing a large role in how I present myself as an ally.

In this podcast episode, George and I chat:

-George’s transition journey, and what it’s been like

-Challenges faced by the LGBTQIA+ community

-De-bunking common concerns around people transitioning

-What we, as ally’s, can do to promote safe and inclusive spaces & the ultimate question we should be asking ourselves

-De-gendering language around periods & anatomy

-How to make your clinic more LGBTQIA+ friendly (for our practitioner pals)
