In this episode we examine the wonderful covenant God made with David, for more than anywhere else in Scripture it looks forward to his descendant, Jesus, who was to come. David wasn’t the one; Solomon wasn’t the one. And apart from a few high points among the reign of the kings of Israel and Judah after them, no one was ultimately up to the task of establishing the kingdom, God’s rule among the nations.

We see David sitting down in astonishment as to how God had spoken to him about not only the future of his own family, but about having it tied in with God’s own everlasting kingdom.

As well as being a key aspect of God’s plan of redemption it has much to teach us how we should respond to any specific revelation God gives us.
