Below are the questions for reflection at the end of the episode.

1. Do you personally know this covenant love of the Lord for you, his death that makes friendship with God possible?

2. Who do you have a close bond with, or did have at one time? What is it about them that you admire or that you admired? 

3. Do you have any peers who have shown bravery, loyalty or sacrifice whom you could befriend?

4. Do you need to ask God specifically for someone who is like a more experienced boxer to spar with and ‘fight the fight of faith’, or perhaps someone older who is like a trainer or coach, someone who has gone many rounds in the ring? Who could you approach?

5. If you’re an older man or an older leader, who are the younger leaders you can develop? Why not take the initiative? In Scripture, older or more experienced leaders nearly always invited younger or less experienced leaders into relationship and ministry.

6. Do you need to ask God for a marriage partner to share your life, heart and faith with? A kindred spirit who also loves the Lord may be a great match – if they feel the same way about you!
