Known as Lynn Marie Smith, she was the lead vocalist for the 10 piece funk group Nature’s Divine and co-writer of the group's biggest hit "I Just Can’t Control myself." After swirling six weeks on Billboard Soul Chart, "I just can't control myself peaked at No.6 in 1979.
After years of pursuing new aspirations, Lynn Marie is back with new album "Phoenix." Lynn Marie on why her and her sister Patrica Shannon wrote the album Phoenix, "to inspire women to be the best that they could be at any age, and that they could operate at a high level at any age. So you don't allow anything, time, money, people, to stop you from pursuing what you love or what you were called here to do. In your time and in the right time it will happen."
