Sl: Pod krošnjami Tivoli parka, kjer jesenski listi prekrivajo pot s toplimi zlatimi in rdečimi odtenki, je Matej počasi hodil.
En: Under the canopy of Tivoli park, where autumn leaves cover the path with warm golden and red hues, Matej walked slowly.

Sl: Bil je tih in zaskrbljen.
En: He was quiet and worried.

Sl: Jesen je za nekatere čas veselja, za Mateja pa je pogosto čas, ko se počuti osamljeno.
En: Autumn is a time of joy for some, but for Matej, it often feels lonely.

Sl: Letošnja jesen je prinesla tudi novo stvar: diagnozo blage sezonske afektivne motnje.
En: This autumn brought something new as well: the diagnosis of mild seasonal affective disorder.

Sl: Kratki dnevi so mu težili misli.
En: The short days weighed down his thoughts.

Sl: Približuje se Martinovanje, praznik, ko se prijatelji in družine zberejo ob molznem vinskem festivalu.
En: Martinovanje is approaching, a holiday when friends and family gather for a delightful wine festival.

Sl: Matej bi rad praznoval, čutil toploto in srečo, ki jo prinaša ta čas.
En: Matej wanted to celebrate, to feel the warmth and happiness that this time brings.

Sl: Vendar ga utrujenost vleče nazaj noter, proč od hrupa in veselja.
En: However, fatigue pulled him back inside, away from the noise and joy.

Sl: Odločil se je, da se odpravi na sprehod po parku.
En: He decided to take a walk in the park.

Sl: Svež zrak in vonj po zemlji sta bila osvežujoča.

Sl: Med hojo je zagledal bledo sonce, ki se je očitno borilo, da prebije oblake.

Sl: "Matej je sprva okleval.
En: Matej hesitated at first.

Sl: A videl je, kako so bili srečni in odprti.
En: But he saw how happy and open they were.

Sl: Z vabilom je prišla priložnost, da vsaj za trenutek pozabi na svoja skrbi.
En: With the invitation came an opportunity to forget his worries, if only for a moment.

Sl: Sedeli so na odeji, medtem ko je Nika odprla steklenico vina.
En: They sat on a blanket while Nika opened a bottle of wine.

Sl: Matej je počasi začutil, kako se dvigajo oblaki okrog njegovega srca.
En: Matej slowly felt the clouds around his heart lift.

En: And so, the autumn day slowly turned into night, with Tivoli park remaining surrounded by the silent anticipation of winter's rest.

Sl: Matejeve misli so bile tokrat lahkotne, srce pa polno.
En: Matej's thoughts were light this time, and his heart full.
