Story Transcript:
Sl: Hladni vetrovi so šumeli skozi oranžno-zlate liste visokih dreves.
En: Cold winds rustled through the orange-golden leaves of tall trees.
En: Triglavski narodni park was calm and quiet, only the small sound of a bird interrupted the tranquility of the forest.
Sl: Miha in Nika sta stala blizu starega drevesa, katerih korenine so segale globoko v zemljo.
En: Miha and Nika stood close to an old tree, whose roots extended deep into the ground.
En: "It's beautiful here," said Nika, wrapping herself more tightly in her warm scarf.
Sl: "Vendar, Miha, si prepričan, da je to dobra ideja?
En: "But, Miha, are you sure this is a good idea?"
En: Miha winked at her and knelt down to look more closely at the ground.
En: "Nika, if I always listened to caution, I would never find anything interesting.
Sl: Poglej, tle je nekaj!
En: Look, there's something here!"
Sl: "Ob vznožju drevesa je Miha s prsti premeril mehko zemljo.
En: At the base of the tree, Miha examined the soft soil with his fingers.
En: He spotted a small edge, barely visible among the roots.
Sl: "Kaj misliš, da je to?
En: "What do you think it is?"
Sl: "Nika se je sklonila bližje.
En: Nika leaned in closer.
Sl: "Mogoče je le kamen.
En: "Maybe it's just a rock."
Sl: "Vendar Miha ni bil prepričan.
En: However, Miha was not convinced.
Sl: Z nežnimi gibi je začel kopati okoli predmeta.
En: With gentle movements, he began to dig around the object.
Sl: Vendar zemlja ni želela zlahka popustiti.
En: But the soil was not willing to give way easily.
En: A cold gust of wind brought the smell of snow, which started bringing a chilly reality, carried in Nika's voice.
Sl: "Čas martinovanja je blizu.
En: "The time of martinovanje is near.
Sl: Morali bi nazaj, preden postane prehladno.
En: We should head back before it gets too cold."
Sl: "Toda Miha se je nasmehnil in nadaljeval.
En: But Miha smiled and continued.
En: Finally, with satisfaction, he discovered an antique amulet.
En: It was carved with tiny images that shone in the orange light of the setting sun.
Sl: "Poglej to, Nika," je navdušeno rekel.
En: "Look at this, Nika," he said excitedly.
Sl: Nika je pokleknila k Miha.
En: Nika knelt beside Miha.
Sl: "To je izjemno.
En: "This is remarkable.
Sl: Toda vprašanje je, kaj to pomeni.
En: But the question is, what does it mean?"
Sl: "Pobrala je amulet in začela raziskovati drobne izrezljane vzorce.
En: She picked up the amulet and began to examine the finely carved patterns.
Sl: Med tem, ko sta obračala amulet, sta opazila drobne besede, skrite med detajli.
En: As they turned the amulet, they noticed tiny words hidden among the details.
Sl: "To je stara legenda o našem območju," je rekla Nika počasi, ko je brala.
En: "This is an old legend of our region," said Nika slowly as she read.
En: "The legend of a brave heart that protected the secrets of these woods."
Sl: "Miha je prenehal in se zamislil.
En: Miha paused and thought.
Sl: "Se spomniš kdaj prej slišal to zgodbo?
En: "Do you remember ever hearing this story before?"
Sl: "Nika je pokimala.
En: Nika nodded.
Sl: "Moj dedek jo je pripovedoval.
En: "My grandfather used to tell it.
En: I heard many old stories, but I never thought they could be true."
Sl: "Miha je skromno prikimal in se rahlo priklonil.
En: Miha nodded humbly and gave a slight bow.
Sl: "Najlepša hvala, Nika.
En: "Thank you very much, Nika.
Sl: Zdaj razumem, kako pomembne so te zgodbe.
En: Now I understand how important these stories are."
Sl: "Njuno raziskovanje je postalo pravo praznovanje stare kulture.
En: Their exploration became a true celebration of ancient culture.
En: Nika realized that Miha valued more than just stories.
En: She realized that he genuinely appreciated the heritage of the place.
En: And Miha saw that stories were not just for entertainment, but essential for understanding the past.
Sl: Vetrovni zrak je prinašal hlad, a toplina novega razumevanja je segrevala oba.
En: The windy air brought cold, but the warmth of new understanding warmed them both.
