Lt: Rudenio popietėse, kai šaltas vėjas švilpaudavo tarp medžių, Gediminas dažnai stovėdavo prie didelio internatinės mokyklos lango.
En: On autumn afternoons, when the cold wind whistled through the trees, Gediminas often stood by the large window of the boarding school.

Lt: Jis stebėdavo, kaip rudeniniai lapai sūkuriuoja ore.
En: He watched as the autumn leaves swirled in the air.

Lt: Mokykla buvo įsikūrusi tykiame kampelyje, apsupta medžių ir lapų kilimo.
En: The school was located in a quiet corner, surrounded by trees and a carpet of leaves.

Lt: Gediminas jautėsi kaip tas vienas lapas, pakibęs tarp dangaus ir žemės.
En: Gediminas felt like that one leaf, suspended between the sky and the earth.
