Description

A historic station

Since 1995, the Stadtwerke Wuppertal has not only renewed the entire structure and exchanged half a million of rivets in this process, but also most of the stations. A complex job, which took much longer than the new construction.

But, it is worth it: due to the hot-dip galvanised steel, the system is now virtually rust-free and the stations have become much more comfortable. You really must take a closer look at the next station because it is just as old as the suspension monorail itself. The station Wertherbrücke is one of three rebuilt to fully replicate the original status and appearance.

By the way, the waggon models last longer than any motor vehicle series. Admittedly, there have been a few "facelifts", but you are sitting in only the third fleet generation.
