Imari shares how she built her business, Boss Branding On A Budget. Imari speaks about how she built her community through organic traffic and more recently through Instagram and Facebook ads. Imari keeps her community engaged by doing the following:

• Being consistent with posts on social media 
• Building genuine relationships
• Interacting with her community through comments etc. 
• Collaborating with her community

Stephanie and Imari discuss networking strategies and how you just have to do it scared - don’t wait and chicken out, just do it! Some of Imari’s favorite networking strategies include collaborations, reaching out to small business owners and inviting them to her platform, and hosting discussions and panels.

Imari talks about how she doesn’t see a lot of people doing things that can nurture their communities. Imari speaks about her newsletter and how she gives free marketing tips and inspiration to new members. Imari states that scheduled posts are so important and advises you to get ahead of your content by planning it out weekly. 

Imari shares the following as being the most effective way to build your community;

• Be super active 
• Go live 
• Be engaging 
• Offer free content 
• Giveaways 

Imari shares how she encouraged people from her community to join her membership by making genuine connections with her ideal customers. She is focused on producing content that creates a transformation and shares how she sees the biggest spikes in membership when she goes live or hosts challenges.

Stephanie and Imari speak about Imari’s recent launch of her planner and how she made 4 figures within a couple of weeks from organic marketing alone. She mentions how she built a lot of hype before launching the planner, did a big reveal of her planner and created offers such as free shipping for pre-sale purchases and a free planning masterclass for purchases the night of the launch.

Imari shares her best advice to those who are starting a business and/or are feeling stuck right now. Imari encourages you to make a list and write out all your goals and to take everything day by day so that you don’t overwhelm yourself. Imari states that when you create plans in advance you provide yourself with a roadmap and something to follow for the week/month/year!
