Description
Welcome to the Simple Sexy Marketing Podcast! Your host Stephanie Rollins is joined by guest Aliyah Frazier. Aliyah is CEO and Founder of Kamala Enterprises and mom of three. Aliyah believes in being the CEO of your business and your life. Her mission is to help women entrepreneurs avoid burnout while building a thriving business that they love.
Aliyah is a business consultant, strategist and business coach with a background in leadership and education. Aliyah begins by discussing how women in business are growing at a rapid rate and how she has noticed that women tend to be the people who are most likely to try and do everything, complete the work of all areas of their business, which usually leads to burnout.
Stephanie and Aliyah speak about how CEOs need to be visionaries. Within the past 10 years online entrepreneurship has blown up and the title of CEO has become somewhat of a buzzword and people twist the reality of what it truly means to be CEO.
Stephanie and Aliyah discuss how a lot of women feel the need to do everything due to the standards society has set for women. Aliyah states that we need to operate in our zone of excellence and explains how multitasking is the culprit of focusing on what our goals are so that we can have a bigger impact and great better results.
Expanding on how multitasking is actually harmful to your business, Aliyah shares some examples of the areas CEOs can delegate and better spend their time to increase the productivity of their business. Aliyah states that mindset is everything and it helps to build momentum. Aliyah emphasizes the fact that there is a difference between being busy and being productive. CEOs need to be working on revenue generating tasks, not things that can be delegated such as admin tasks.
Aliyah shares her best tips and tricks for CEOs that will help them to thrive in their role. If you pre-plan for this time block correctly, you will probably end up getting more done in these three hours than you would have all week.
Stephanie and Aliyah speak about how being a CEO is like working a muscle – and it’s hard! CEOs have to learn to say no to unimportant things and say yes to revenue generating activities. You must get used to being uncomfortable and the more you do it the more you’ll be able to do it with ease. One of the biggest business boosting things CEOs need to do but often find the most challenging is delegate. Aliyah shares how she enables her clients to do this and encourages them to follow these simple steps:
📌 Write out every single task they do in a day’s time
📌 Highlight the things they feel they can delegate
📌 Decide what the main revenue generating tasks are from the unhighlighted list
📌 Decide to further delegate what didn’t make it to the main revenue generating tasks list
📌 Give each one of these tasks a job description and find the right employee for the role
📌 Don’t give up if this gets hard and you have a bad experience with one employee
Aliyah also shares her top tips to being more productive, focused and efficient in your CEO role and advises you to read ‘The 12 Week Year’ by Brian P. Moran and Michael Lennington, and her guided journal ‘Ready, Set, Glow: 90 Days To A Happier and Healthier You’. Aliyah encourages CEOs to take care of themselves and do things that are fun as doing the things you enjoy will bring vigor to your business and will help you and your business to thrive. Aliyah states that the key to fulfillment is being the CEO of your life!
