Description

University of Canberra Journalism lecturer, Crispin Hull, wrote a letter to five students explicitly requesting they abandon freedom of information requests.

The students wanted to verify reports of planned cuts to the journalism program and the university’s new multi-million dollar sponsorship of rugby team, the ACT Brumbies.

Despite additional pressure from University of Canberra administration, third year journalism undergraduate, Lauren Ingram, pushed ahead and wrote of her ordeal in Crikey.

I spoke with Lauren Ingram about her FOI experience.
