Description

The Media Entertainment and Arts Alliance has described the Finkelstein Report on media regulation as a huge disappointment.

They say the proposal for a Government body to oversee all journalism is impractical and not appropriate in a free society.

The MEAA also says the report fails to address the demise of traditional print business models and what this means for investigative reporting and Australian democracy.

To get across the MEAA response to the Independent Inquiry into the Media I spoke with Federal Secretary, Christopher Warren.
