Managing Change With Emotional Sobriety
Description
When you are on the cusp of change you are sitting with raw emotion, feeling all the things. Your mind races, your heart pounds, you can’t sleep, healthy food is unappealing, it can be so uncomfortable that you might even wonder “why, am I in recovery anyway”?
These are the warning signs that times are a changing. Even the most positive and exciting change still brings about a lot of emotion. And it is happening all the time.
Often it's boundaries that we need in order to protect ourselves and our sobriety from being overextended or trampled on like a welcome mat. I know that's what really helped me take control of my life and learn to love myself. If you are like "Yes I need that", check out the Creating Healthy Boundaries course, it has just the tools you need.
If you want to live emotionally well and FREE in sobriety you have to become willing to make changes in a bunch of areas. This is super simple stuff but not always easy and or me I didn't do any of it until I learned to listen to those who had gone before me. And I want every sober woman to have the opportunity as well.
To LOVE their lives in recovery and pursue the desires of their heart. If you feel the tug on your heart, this is exactly what we do in the Sober Freedom Inner Circle. Just send me a message on the Shelby John Coaching Facebook page and say FREEDOM and I will tell you more about it.
And if you aren't part of the Confident Sober Women Facebook group, come join us! There's great content and training materials for building a life you don't want to escape from. Because connection is the opposite of addiction.

And if you haven't read my memoir, grab a copy today and maybe a second one for a friend. There is so much hope in recovery, and I shared my story so raw and vulnerably so that others would know they aren't alone and that there is a way to live well, manage relationships, parent your kids, and have a healthy body, all while staying sober.
