Lamar’s business is designed to help African American entrepreneurs learn how to drive more traffic, convert more sales and increase the amount of profit within their business so that they can build a sustainable and driven enterprise. 

Stephanie and Lamar discuss the three main marketing traps people fall into: Lack of traffic, lack of mentorship and lack of focus. 

Lamar has been involved in the entrepreneurial world since 2007 and states that the main thing keeping people from building a 7 figure business is the fact that they have multiple 6 figure businesses. Lamar also shares how success can be boring – doing the same thing day in and day out is boring, but it’s those who are most consistent that are most successful. 

Stephanie and Lamar also discuss how you can set good foundations for your business. Firstly, you need to be doing something you are passionate about and making money from doing so. You must get into an abundance of traffic and ensure you are connecting and engaging with your community. Being successful takes a lot of work and Lamar reminds you to keep reminding yourself that the growth of your business is not dictated on a direct single line that goes up by 1% or 2% each year. 

Lamar shares his best advice for how entrepreneurs can focus on revenue generating activities. One of the most important being if you’re not investing money you’re investing time and your time will always be more valuable than your money as you can create more money when you have more time but you can’t create more time with more money! Stephanie reminds you to use your time accordingly as sometimes more time is a curse if you are not using it correctly.
