Omonivie Okhade is the founder and designer of the jewelry line, Tula in Bloom. Born and raised in California to a Nigerian immigrant father and an African American mother, her journey from a life built for her to a life built by her began and continues with the path of meditation. Graduating from the University of Southern California (USC) with a Master's degree in Health Administration, she worked in health care management for six years before transitioning into the creative arts, stumbling upon metalsmithing and jewelry design in 2012. Through her work, she seeks to articulate inner experiences and connect with all who are investigating their unique journeys. Meditation provides Omonivie with an anchor that has helped her stay rooted through times of significant change, including the loss of both parents in the past three years. Self-compassion has been the seed planted in her years of practice that is now beginning to flower.
