Join meditation instructor Dena Argyropoulou as she explores the mysterious yet ridiculously simple practice of meditation with Jay Michaelson. Jay has taught meditation for twenty years in Buddhist, Jewish, and secular contexts. He is currently an editor and podcast host at the @tenpercenthappier meditation startup, as well a columnist for New York Magazine. Jay was a member of the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies Board of Directors for six years, and is authorized to teach in the lineage of Ayya Khema by his teacher, Leigh Brasington. He is also an ordained rabbi.
Jay is also a visiting fellow at the Center for LGBTQ Studies in Religion who worked as a professional LGBTQ activist for ten years. He holds a PhD in Jewish Thought from Hebrew University and a JD from Yale Law School.
