Description
In this Primal Pearl I discuss the highly prevalent bacterium H Pylori and its role in the pathogenesis of gastritis, peptic ulcer disease and cancer. I discuss standard eradication therapy and shine a spotlight on the many issues associated with proton pump inhibitors. Finally, I discuss some alternative methods for tackling this pathogen including application of the bacterium Lactobacillus Reuteri as a novel therapeutic strategy.
