Guo, 44, has been working in the Foreign Ministry for 23 years and is experienced in both diplomacy and communication.

44岁的郭嘉昆已在外交部工作23年，有着丰富的外交经验和良好的沟通能力。

"I will try my best to timely and accurately explain China's foreign policy and practices of Chinese modernization," Guo told journalists.

郭嘉昆对记者表示：“我将竭尽所能及时、准确地阐述中国外交政策，讲好中国式现代化的精彩故事。”

He said he expects to work with journalists to present an accurate, multidimensional and panoramic image of China to the world.

他表示，期待与各位记者共同努力，向世界展示一个真实、立体、全面的中国。

The Foreign Ministry introduced the system of spokespersons in 1983, making it the first government department in China to start such a practice. It is also the only government department that holds routine news briefings on every working day.

中国外交部于1983年引入发言人制度，成为中国首个设立该制度的政府部门。此外，外交部也是唯一一个在每个工作日都举行例行新闻发布会的政府部门。
