Update: 2025-01-15
Description
Welcome to episode 1232. In this episode we discussed some of the "useful emotions to develop as an athlete and sport parent".
In the world of sports, success isn’t just determined by skill, talent, or strategy; emotional intelligence plays a vital role in the performance of athletes and the guidance of sport parents. Developing the right emotions can foster resilience, focus, and growth both on and off the field.
Some of the useful emotions you should develop as an athlete and sport parent include;
- What are my most frequent emotions
- The emotion doesn't have to feel good.
- Identity what you're trying to achieve and the emotions you required
- The emotions will fluctuate and interchange from time to time.
- Examples of useful emotions ; Courage, confidence, Perseverance, persistent, curiosity, Enthusiasm, Hope, Humility, etc
By focusing on developing these emotions, athletes and sport parents can cultivate a supportive & fulfilling journey in sports, where growth and character-building take center stage.
