Spotlight on Senior Leaders Working Flexibly

Michelle Kretschmer is the area manager for Small Business and the state lead for ANZ Health in small business for Queensland.  Michelle and her team work flexibly in the How, When and Where they complete their work.

In the interview Michelle talks about how important ANZ's great technology is for working flexibly.  She also says that people need to know what options are out there.
My advice to everyone would be, it is your responsibility to ask those questions as well.  It’s not just the organisation’s responsibility to communicate it.
 
Top 3 hints and tips for a successful flexible work arrangement:
1. As a leader, be authentic and consistent.  Know what flexible work arrangements are available so you can embed them in your team and support the organisations culture.

2. As an employee ask about flexible work arrangements.  If they are not available today, you could work with the organisation to trial and implement them.

3. Give yourself permission to work flexibly.  Embrace it and talk about it.
