Do not expect to have it developed when you have not exercised it, nor be discouraged because reality is different from how you had imagined it.
Remember: life is very difficult for many people. Everyone is trying to cope the best they can.
Isolation and disconnection are a disease that ironically spreads rapidly, even though we are billions of human beings.
Friends and family are essential in this life.
Your relationships with other people are the only important possession. Everything else you are pursuing is to have more friends and family.
