Are your children aware of how lethal exposure to counterfeit Fentanyl is?
Several Los Angeles area teenagers have overdosed on counterfeit Fentanyl; some have even died, including one 15-year-old high school student in the Woodland Hills / Canoga Park area.
There are rumors that rainbow-colored Fentanyl will be handed out to kids around Halloween. Please make your children aware of how dangerous it is to be exposed to counterfeit Fentanyl. It is so hazardous that many students and law enforcement officers have overdosed from exposure to it.
The LVUSD District recently approved a measure to stock Narcan in all LVUSD schools to reverse the effects of any students on campus who have symptoms of opioid overdose. Still, the District should be doing more to bring awareness to our community's crisis, the same way they make sure we know every detail about the Football team's schedule and progress.
