Did the LVUSD Curriculum Council Violate The Brown Act?
On September 24th I raised concerns over the LVUSD Curriculum Council not voting on the minutes of their last meeting. During the Curriculum meeting on Wednesday, 10/12/22, a Civilian Oversight Member, Mr. Robkin aired similar concerns about the minutes not being voted on and how the minutes did not match his recollection. Two LVUSD Board Members were in attendance, Ms. Linda Menges, Current Board President, and Ms. Lesli Stein, former board President and incumbent candidate for the 2022 LVUSD School Board election. Neither Menges nor Stein knew the answer to Mr. Robkin's question, as to whether or not the Curriculum Council was in compliance with the Brown Act. How could they not know the most simple part of the Robert Rules of Order? You always vote on the minutes from the last meeting!
