Do you find yourself "helping" your clients a little too much? Going above and beyond to the point of it costing you a lot more time and sanity?
Are you allowing your clients' lack of planning to become your emergencies?
Chances are you haven't set the boundaries properly.
Unless people have enrolled in or have paid for your 24/7 access, you do not owe them an immediate response.
We need to reestablish our boundaries with them. They will go up to the line we set.
I've found that we can keep clients who aren't playing all in when we are desperate to keep them. Keeping them keeps us in that low-level energy and neediness.
If you can restate your boundaries with your clients, you may just regain your sanity and dignity for being a coach, mentor, trainer or even a parent that holds the line; the high standard and the boundaries of a professional.
If you have questions you would like to have answered, email me at m@asynd.net and share your question, I may mention it in an upcoming episode.
