今回は、録音の肉声としてお世話になっているおおさか創造千島財団の堀美知さんをゲストにお迎えします。
おおさか創造千島財団と、その母体である千島土地株式会社の歴史、名村造船所跡地から始まった地域×アートの試行錯誤、
北加賀屋クリエイティブビレッジや千鳥文化などの現在進行形の取り組みについてお話を伺いました。

#22 Supporting Experimental Grants & Place-making (Guest: Chishima Foundation Part 2)

We continue with HORI Miharu from the Chishima Foundation for Creative Osaka. We dive into their open-ended grant scheme that backs experimental work and early-career artists, hands-on mentoring for applications, up to three rounds per person, and usability over single-year evaluation. We also discuss Kitakagaya’s place-making (DIY allowed, no restoration required), coexistence with residents, Konohana’s “New Paraiso,” Japan’s gradual gentrification, growing small collectors, direct purchases via ART OSAKA and SSK, support for 30s–40s, strategic use with public grants, and hints for warehouse renewal in Sapporo/Otaru.
