Daily Zohar 5005

#145
“יַעַבְדוּךָ עַמִּים”, “Peoples will serve you” (Genesis 27:29 ). This was fulfilled in the time when King Solomon ruled in Jerusalem, as it is written: “וְכָל מַלְכֵי הָאָרֶץ”, “And all the kings of the earth” (2 Chronicles 9:23 ), bringing each his gift, etc. “וְיִשְׁתַּחֲווּ לְךָ לְאֻמִּים”, “And nations will bow to you” (Genesis 27:29 ). This will be fulfilled in the time when the King Mashiach comes, as it is written: “וְיִשְׁתַּחֲווּ לוֹ כָּל מְלָכִים”, “And all kings will bow to him” (Psalms 72:11 ), etc.
Rabbi Yehuda said: All will be in the time when the King Mashiach comes, as it is written: And all kings will bow to him; all nations will serve him” (Psalms 72:11 ).
Notes:
Jacob’s blessing to serve people was fulfilled under Solomon (וְכָל מַלְכֵי הָאָרֶץ), while nations bowing await the Mashiach. Rabbi Yehuda sees both in the Mashiach era, uniting service and homage. This continues Jacob’s blessings, ensuring divine favor.
#146
“הֱוֵה גְבִיר לְאַחֶיךָ”, “Be master over your brothers” (Genesis 27:29 ). He asks: Why does the verse say הֱוֵה (be), and not say הֱיֵה (was) or תִהְיֶה (will be)? And he answers: Rather, this is an upper secret of faith (אֱמוּנָה). For these letters הוה (Hei-Vav-Hei) are secrets of faith: ה Hei above, Binah. ו Vav in the middle, Tiferet. ה Hei at the end, Malchut. And for this reason, he said: “הֱוֵה גְבִיר לְאַחֶיךָ”, “Be master over your brothers,” that is, to rule over them and to discipline them with the power of these letters, in the time when King David will come.
Notes:
The word הֱוֵה (present tense) encodes Hei-Vav-Hei: upper Hei (Binah), middle Vav (Tiferet), lower Hei (Malchut), representing complete faith. Jacob’s mastery over his brothers, fulfilled through King David, uses this power to rule and discipline.
