Logline: After Rob and Maddie's betrayal, Vinnie spirals into heartbreak until Veronica steps in to comfort him, leading to a passionate declaration of his feelings.

Episode Summary:

Years after a painful breakup based on lies and misunderstandings, Veronica returns to her hometown to rekindle her romance with her ex-lover Vinnie. But she's shocked to find he's now engaged to Maddie. Trying to distract herself, Veronica barges into Vinnie's apartment, only to walk in on him with Maddie in a compromising position. Mortified, she flees, trying unsuccessfully to explain herself to the irritated Vinnie.

Seeking solace with her best friend Leanne, Veronica vents about the situation. Leanne advises patience, convinced Maddie is just a temporary fling for Vinnie. Their chat is interrupted by the surprise arrival of Veronica's daughter April and son-in-law Dan, upset she left Seattle without explanation. Forced to confess her real reason for leaving, Veronica admits she still loves Vinnie and wants him back. Just then, Vinnie overhears, leaving everyone speechless.

Later, Veronica and Vinnie stroll through a park, the weight of the past evident. Vinnie insists he has moved on and plans to marry Maddie soon. Stunned but undeterred, Veronica vows to keep pursuing Vinnie, convinced their love still exists. On her way to see Vinnie again, Veronica has a startling encounter with Maddie and Vinnie's chef Rob, who reveal they are now a couple running away together. Urging them to at least give Vinnie closure, Veronica rushes to console him.

She arrives to find a drunken, heartbroken Vinnie destroying his restaurant in despair over Maddie's betrayal. Talking him down from further damage, Veronica convinces the police not to arrest Vinnie, promising to cover the costs. After sobering up at Leanne’s, Vinnie suddenly kisses Veronica with fiery passion before disappearing again. With April and Dan’s blessing, Veronica decides to keep fighting for the love she lost years ago, hoping this time fate will bring her and Vinnie together for good.
