John:               Hey everyone, welcome back to another episode of Get Up and CODE. I’m your host John Sonmez and today I have a very special episode. I have my wife Heather here and she’s going to be forced to answer some questions. Okay, so now comes to the good part here. I thought maybe we’d bring heather on so that she could give you the real scoop behind Simple Programmer and Get Up and CODE and to determine whether or not I’m crazy. Welcome to the show, Heather.
Heather:         Thanks.
John:               I guess the first question that everyone probably wants to know is whether or not with me not eating until 5 o’clock everyday and doing all kinds of crazy things just how crazy am I?
Heather:         Well, I would say pretty crazy. The not eating until 5 o’clock I guess you started at the end of last year. That’s just kind of the new thing. As long as we’ve been together so I guess that will be 14 years this year there’s always something new that John is doing, some crazy diet whether it’s no carbs or not eating until 5 or I don’t know. What other crazy things have you been doing?
John:               I think I did try to do a peanut diet but I don’t think I did that. Okay, so what is the craziest thing that I’ve ever done?
Heather:         Oh geez. Off the top of my head? I need a few minutes to think about that. Some pretty crazy things.
John:               You’ve got to speak louder.
Heather:         Give me a few minutes. I’ll get back to you on that one.
John:               Okay. While you’re thinking about that, let’s see, I’ve got to ask you some other questions. What do you think about fitness? Go.
Heather:         For the most part fitness for me—I just got dragged into it by you for the most part. Gosh. First started going to the gym a few years back. You got in your head that we needed to do a 12-week challenge with Gold’s Gym back in Boise and so I started going to the gym with you then and you tried to starve me for 12 weeks and make me run and all kinds of crazy things.
John:               You cheated. You ate that one chocolate covered espresso bean.
Heather:         Well, I think it was a couple chocolate covered espresso beans and then made the mistake of trying to get on the treadmill immediately afterwards.
John:               Yep. So we did a 12-week challenge where we signed up as a team. I think it was a team, right?
Heather:         Yes. Yeah, it was a couple’s challenge.
John:               It was one of those transformation challenges and I think we both ended up like doing pretty extreme.
