Speaker 1:      Welcome to the Get Up and CODE Podcast with your host John Sonmez. The only podcast that combines fitness and programming and does it in less time than it takes to finish your workout.
John:               Hey everyone, welcome back to Get Up and CODE. This is—I believe this is going to be episode number 99 so we’re coming up on that big 100. I can’t believe it’s been so long doing this podcast, almost entirely consistently or every week here. Today I have Jesse Taber back on the podcast and he’s going to facilitate a discussion. Actually we’re going to talk about stereotyping. We talked about this once before on Get Up and CODE but I thought this was an interesting topic and this is something that has been changing. I was talking to Jesse and he’s got some insights from a conference from a Build Conference this year that he went to, some of that being an interesting topic to talk about. I’m also curious to get your input. I’m thinking about opening up Get Up and CODE to be sort of like a panel discussion maybe. I’m also—not only am I looking for input, if you want to email me at show@getupandcode.com but I’m also looking for potential panelists and then the idea would be we’d record at a certain time everyday, every week or every week and whoever shows up shows up and yeah. So let me know what your thoughts are. Email me at show@getupandcode.com.
All right, before we get into it I do need to take a second to thank the sponsor for this podcast which is Zephyr. Zephyr is a long time supporter of Simple Programmer then a really big supporter of everything that I’ve been doing. They have one of the best test software suites out there right now. If you are interested, if you’re in the testing environment and you’re interested in checking them out go check them out at www.getzephyr.com. I think you’ll find a lot of their tools very valuable, very useful for managing your tests for doing test automation and all kinds of things. They’re even expanding into the development side as well. Check them out at www.getzephyr.com.
All right, with all that said welcome back to the podcast Jesse.
Jesse:               Hey, thanks for having me.
John:               You’ve been on—for everyone who’s listening who hasn’t maybe heard the other episodes you’ve been on quite a few times on Get Up and CODE. We kind of talk whenever there’s something to talk about to do a discussion so why don’t you give just maybe like a quick intro for yourself for everyone who doesn’t know who you are.
Jesse:               Sure. My name is Jesse Taber. I’m from Florida. I do desktop applications for a company called Articulate. I guess this is my third time, maybe fourth time, I don’t remember now on the show, but I’ve been sort of—like the first time I was on I was talking about getting into powerlifting and trying to lose some weight and kind of shared some progress on that as we’ve gone. I think for a while I was doing 10 to 15 lbs down every time I came on. I think I’m only 5 down this time, so things have slowed down a little bit but I am still lifting. That’s all still going really well and kind of knowing that I may have to come on the show periodically and talk about it keeps me motivated.
John:               There we go, yeah. It’s amazing how that helps, right?
Jesse:               Yeah, exactly. Some accountability there. That’s all going really well still. It’s been—I’m still doing the—well, not quite one meal a day, but the intermittent fasting definitely has helped a lot there too. Lots of topics that have popped up on the show have helped me get where I am.
John:               Coo.
