It’ll be a raw day Tuesday with gusty northwest winds, occasional showers, and temps remaining in the 40s. Tuesday night will be frosty for western Minnesota.

Cold, windy with scattered showers Tuesday

The blustery northwest winds on the way Tuesday have prompted wind advisories for much of central and southern Minnesota through the day. We’ll have sustained wind speeds of 15 to 30 mph with gusts as high as 40 to 50 mph in some areas.

To make it feel particularly unpleasant, we’ll occasionally have some scattered rain showers in addition to the high winds and cold. Portions of northern Minnesota will see showers mix with snow flakes occasionally Tuesday through early Wednesday.
