Early Milestones - Stage 2 - Getting faster at 5k - Week 5
Description
Week 5 of Stage 2 of the Early Milestones programme - Getting Faster at 5k - for those that can run 5k but want to be able to run it faster or more comfortably.
In this session, we have a quick warm-up pre-amble and then straight into a 30 minute progression run using mindfulness to get through the session - we set off nice and easy and then run each 5 minutes a little quicker (that's the progression) while thinking about a specific technical / mindful element.
The other sessions this week are a repeat of the hill session from week 3 and a 35 minute easy continuous run (or run-walk). As ever, this is a minimum - if you already do more than that, stick to what you already do but make sure those components are included.
Timings;
- Main Set starts at c 6 mins
- Stretches start at 36 mins
And finally, as we pass halfway in the programme, its time to plan the run at the end of it all - perhaps your attempt at a faster(or more comfortable) 5k?......
