Week 7 of Stage 2 of the Early Milestones programme - Getting Faster at 5k - for those that can run 5k but want to be able to run it faster or more comfortably.
One week to go!
In this session, we have a quick pre-amble and then a proper warm-up before intervals - 9 x 2 mins of running at a faster pace with 2 minutes rest in between each rep. It's time to work hard, be brave. In preparation for our final week, the chat this week is all about performance management - getting the most out of yourself on the day you want to reach your new milestone.....
The other sessions this week are a repeat of the progression run from week 5 and a 35 minute easy continuous run (or run-walk). As ever, this is a minimum - if you already do more than that, stick to what you already do but make sure those components are included.
Timings;
- Warm-up starts at c 5 mins
- Main Set starts at c 15 mins
- Stretches start at c 51 mins
