Early Milestones - getting faster at 5k - Stage 2 Week 6
Description
Week 6 of Stage 2 of the Early Milestones programme - Getting Faster at 5k - for those that can run 5k but want to be able to run it faster or more comfortably.
In this session, we have a quick warm-up pre-amble and then straight into a 3 x 10 minutes of steady running, each with 2 minutes rest in between. This is all about keeping a controlled, "comfortably hard" pace going for each 10 minutes.
The other sessions this week are a repeat of the exercises from week 2 but with faster running between each exercise and a 45 minute easy continuous run (or run-walk). As ever, this is a minimum - if you already do more than that, stick to what you already do but make sure those components are included.
