Sl: Mateja je stala na robu pašnika, kjer se je nahajal bolniški šotor.
En: Mateja stood at the edge of the pasture, where the medical tent was located.

Sl: Še vedno se je privajala na novo okolje.
En: She was still getting used to the new environment.

Sl: Zdaj, v poznem poletju, je sonce segrevalo mehka pobočja in ustvarjalo mirno vzdušje.
En: Now, in the late summer, the sun warmed the gentle slopes and created a peaceful atmosphere.

Sl: Vendar je Mateja čutila tesnobo.
En: However, Mateja felt anxious.

Sl: Mateja je bila zelo predana svojemu delu.
En: Mateja was very dedicated to her work.

Sl: Kot medicinska sestra je vedela, kako pomembno je imeti zadostne zaloge.
En: As a nurse, she knew how important it was to have sufficient supplies.
