On today's episode of Empowered in Health, I share more about how I've been working with a macro coach the past 12 weeks. While I've learned A LOT about what my body needs - I've also realized there's a lot I still need to unlearn when it comes to healthy sustainable habits. Especially for my midlife, female physiology. From hormone health to best foods for gut health to intentional rest and more...it's fascinating how every phase of life can feel like an entirely new level of learning. While I didn't make much progress throughout the past 12 weeks - at least, not the way I had expected - I still made progress is many other ways that are taking me more time to unpack and understand. That's the thing about working towards a goal...we always have to look at the growth that DID happen and find the continued opportunity for learning through the process of it all. This was a powerful reminder for me that growth and progress are not linear. And I want to empower you to embrace that message too! There will be setbacks and unexpected situations we have to manage along the way towards our goals. That's OK. And feeling whatever we need to feel through the process of it all is also absolutely OK. If you're in a place where you're feeling like things haven't gone to plan, things aren't what you expected or you're working hard at something and the progress hasn't panned out the way you had envisioned...me too, sister. BUT - that doesn't mean we sit. We simply flip the script and choose to move forward, learn, grow and evolve - one day at a time. Speaking of learning and growing - don't miss our FREE Hormone Health Webinar happening on 1/31 within our SYNC Community. This is a great place to come and learn more about nurturing your female physiology and taking care of your health in the best way possible for your female physiology. Feeling stuck on your journey? Book your free coaching session here: https://www.erintrier.com/coaching.In this episode, I share my honest experience with bio-identical hormone replacement therapy (bioHRT), GLP-1 peptides, immune modulating medications and peptides alongside the reality of the “quick-fix” wellness trends that women have to manage. After years of gut issues, hormone imbalances and total immune dysfunction, I’ve learned that true healing starts with foundational wellness - nutrition, movement, rest, stress management and emotional health - before diving into advanced tools like peptides or hormone therapy. And that's the problem. So many are blindly falling into starting these supports without enough targeted testing, without optimizing the internal health terrain and without addressing the overall dysfunction in the body. At some point, these interventions will backfire - which is breaking my heart as a women's health coach. In today's chat - I talk about: What GLP-1 peptides and bioHRT actually do for women’s healthHow to fix hormone imbalance and inflammation naturallyWhy foundations of wellness matter more than supplementsHow I used functional testing to uncover root causesThe peptides that helped me reduce inflammation and restore energyIf you’re navigating midlife health, perimenopause or just feeling “off,” this conversation will empower you to make informed, strategic choices about your wellness journey.Tune into full episode on YOUTUBE here:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DtKYbEQhEQ Thank you for being a part of our community and investing in your wellness journey! Please subscribe and leave a review on your favorite podcast platform. Join me and Shannon Golladay on today's episode as she shares her transformative wellness journey - highlighting the critical role of mental and emotional well-being.From her background as a competitive gymnast to navigating health challenges in motherhood and into midlife, Shannon discusses feeling "trapped" and how shifting her limiting beliefs has been a game changer on her journey. As a coach, Shannon prioritizes mindset above all else - helping clients identify and reframe negative thoughts using tools like the "ThinkUp App" for affirmations. She also emphasizes the impact community and coaching can have when you're working towards your health goals.Shannon's message empowers women to believe in what's possible, even when it's hard. She shares how Bethany Hamilton is an inspiration to her with her inspiring motto: "I don't need easy. I just need possible." In this episode, I share why navigating your health and wellness, especially in the women's health space, can feel like "complete and utter chaos".As a health coach with over a decade of experience, I introduce "the confusion loop," a concept I crafted to explain WHY women are completely overwhelmed. This loop has two main components: lack of education about our unique female physiology and evolving health needs paired with mixed messaging from the wellness industry.I discuss why women often feel they're taking "one step forward, five steps back," while trying to manage the information overload that comes from being constantly bombarded with new regimens, supplements and strategies.I want you to know that you are not alone! If you feel caught in this cycle of not knowing how to move forward with your body/brain, below are the key strategies I share on HOW to break free from the confusion loop:Understanding Female Physiology: I encourage you to track your cycles, symptoms, mood, and energy to become more attuned to your body's daily hormonal fluctuations. This includes learning about the different phases of the cycle and how they impact energy and mood.Unsubscribing from One-Size-Fits-All Advice: I teach you to discern whether advice, programs, or supplements truly serve your "bio-individual health needs". I encourage you to pause and ask if something is "crafted to your physiology in some way".Releasing the All-or-Nothing Mindset: I explain that perfection isn't the goal. Instead, I advocate for embracing a "grace-filled ebb and flow" and a mindset of continuous learning on your health journey. My mission as a women's health coach is to empower you to understand your unique body and navigate the wellness space with intention and longevity in mind.Listen to full episode on YOUTUBE here:https://youtu.be/javuOe9uKI8If this episode resonated with you, please subscribe and leave a review on your favorite podcast platform.
