When it comes to celebrating the region, there’s no finer event than the Atlantic International Film Festival! It’s our annual tradition here on the show – to bring you the inside scoop, and there’s plenty to celebrate, what with this being their 45^th Annual AIFF. Halifax, Nova Scotia is THE place to be from September 10^th through the 17^th. Join movie makers and industry shakers for eight days filled with incredible panels and presentations, a stellar slate of special guests and of course a phenomenal array of remarkable movies from around the world and right here on Canada’s East Coast – including a gripping and mysterious film out of Newfoundland & Labrador called HANGASHORE. Coming up later in the show we’ll connect with a SEA AND BE SCENE fave, the filmmaker himself Justin Oakey so stay tuned for that – but let’s kick things off with a conversation with the festival’s Interim Executive Director and Director of Programming to talk about the spectacular line up of films set to screen and all of the amazing ways to get the most of this milestone event.
