Our chats will be just that – very conversational, not entirely sensible and, with any luck, totally enjoyable. And what an absolute delight to connect with today’s guest, who is always up to something incredibly creative. With a career that includes more than 70 on-camera roles, too many writing credits to count and a veritable boatload of awards, including the much-coveted Canadian Screen ICON Award for her creation THIS HOUR HAS 22 MINUTES – it’s fair to say there’s always something to celebrate! Case in point her brand new feature film DANCING ON THE ELEPHANT which will make its world premiere at the 45th Annual ATLANTIC INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL Saturday, September 13th filmed here in Nova Scotia last year. In it she stars as Edna, a feisty and forgetful spirited soul who befriends a newcomer to the nursing home,for a lovely story filled with great laughs and wonderfully heartfelt moments. So we’ll talk about that movie and so much more – including her one woman stand-up show and album, her current comedy series THE MISSUS DOWNSTAIRS, her forthcoming book of essays and the much anticipated sequel to the HATCHING, MATCHING AND DISPATCHING franchise, plus we’ll get the scoop on her efforts to support other creatives in Newfoundland & Labrador, get to The 1st Word, finish with The Final Countdown and even squeeze in some marvelous tunes along the way.
