Our chats will be just very conversational, not entirely sensible and with any luck totally enjoyable. And now I can honestly say I always enjoy a great chat with today’s guest has been a SEA AND BE SCENE favourite from the minute we launched the site nearly 15 years ago. The pride of Prince Edward Island – Rustico to be exact. He is a mega-award-winning singer and songwriter, not to mention a stellar musician and an Order of Canada Member to boot! That alone would be reason enough to connect, but today we’re celebrating something extra special! The release of his latest collection of tunes called SHELTER FROM THE STORMS – which by the way, is absolutely delightful and filled with emotional songs. You’ll laugh and cry. You’ll be inspired. You’ll stop and think, but most of all, you’ll marvel at the man’s ability to tell an extraordinary story through his words and music. Indeed, we’ll talk about this new project and so much more, including his incredible collaboration with the late, great, legendary Jimmy Buffett and the wonderful YouTube series that serves as a companion to the tune. We’ll also talk about the family member who inspired the sweetest song and discover how a phone call with a friend led to one of the catchiest hooks on the album. We’ll also get THE FIRST WORD, play THE FINAL COUNTDOWN and naturally spin as much of his amazing new music as we can within the hour. So with all that ahead, we’d best get to it.
