Our chats will be just that, very conversational, not entirely sensible and with any luck totally enjoyable. And dear listener, today’s show is all of that and then some – it will be joyful, inspirational, and surprisingly educational, and most of all ~ it will be heartfelt. Truth be told, it’s hard to say enough about today’s guest who is an artist in every sense of the word – JUNO and East Coast Music –winning musician, prolific songwriter, brilliant painter and illustrator. She’s extraordinary, and if all that weren’t enough, she’s just added a brand new children’s book to her list of incredibly creative accomplishments. Perfectly pairing the gentle lyrics of her beloved tune “It Snowed” with her oh so delightful illustrations ~ the book has been an instant hit, so you best believe we’ll be talking about this marvellous new milestone and so much more. Including the lifelong dream she’s now realizing through its release and the limitations she placed on herself throughout the creative process. We’ll also talk about her fantastically festive Holiday Shows set for this December 19th and 20th at the Bella Rosa Centre in Halifax. As a kindred spirit in all things Christmas, we’ll talk about the merriment and magic in store for us concert-goers. With so much on the go, you have to know what a true treat it was that she made time to meet up for this interview. We did so over coffee (and tea) at the Bike and Bean in Tantallon. I mention that so you’ll know the reason for the background hubbub amidst our chat. We’ll start with The First Word, end with The Final Countdown and play as much of her amazing music as we can along the way. So with all that ahead, we best get to it.
